Where’s the beef?

If Big Bruce could move, he might be standing a bit taller and prouder today.

The local cattle industry got a huge boost Monday when organizers of a massive beef barbecue at Roberts Farm Equipment southeast of Chesley ran out of food after serving 12,172 free burgers.

The barbecue was staged by local Kinsmen and Kinettes as part of a nationwide attempt to set a Guinness world record by serving one million pounds of beef to four million Canadians. Continue reading
